Family Camp

Remember sleep away camp?

The arts & crafts barn, hikes in the woods and capture the flag? Flash forward a bunch of years, and now you have a few kids and they get to have all the fun. Not at Riversaw. Here, kids AND their parents share in the fun.

ROUGH ITINERARY:

Arrive on Friday evening in time for some refreshments and a campfire. You'll be able to settle into your quarters and pick out activities for the next day. Saturday morning, rise refreshed and head off to yoga or explore the property's trails on your own. Breakfast is served in the meadow, and coffee is strong and hot. Your morning can be spent learning a new craft or skill as a family, like archery or shibori dye. Lunch is a picnic buffet. The afternoon may include a nap in a hammock, learning to carve spoons, or time for a swim and a sauna. Saturday evening is a family bbq, followed by stargazing when the clouds allow.

Sunday morning is reserved for sleeping in, or yoga, or coffee and a good book by the river. Enjoy the continental breakfast and take one more meander through the forest. Depart at noon and return to real life.

Next summer's family camp will be held in August. Exact details TBD.
